Hall-of-fame quarterback Joe Montana joined John Gambling on WOR 710 Wednesday morning and of course the topic of former New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow came up. Who better to ask what went wrong with Tebow than one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time?

Tebow was waived by the Jets Monday after just one tumultuous season. Tebow spent most of the 2012-2013 season with “Gang Green” either on the bench or playing on special teams. Montana was critical of the way the Denver Broncos and Jets handled Tebow telling John, "I think they ruined the guy." Montana defended Tebow, telling WOR 710 that the Broncos should have never messed with Tebow's throwing mechanics. "I just think they did him a total disservice," Montana said. The legendary San Francisco 49ers quarterback went on to say, "Look around the league, holy crap, there's so many guys with bad throwing motions." Montana said the Jets should have worked on Tebow's footwork instead of worrying about his throwing motion.
