Legendary TV host Kathie Lee Gifford was on WOR 710 with Mark Simone Wednesday to talk about a charity she is involved with called Dana's Angels Research Trust (DART). The charity helps find a cure for Niemann-Pick type C disease. In addition to talking about the June 1 benefit concert featuring the Beach Boys at Palace Theatre, Gifford discussed a number of other TV related topics.

Gifford talked about her continuing friendship with Regis Philbin, her current hosting gig with Hoda, and the Matt Lauer "Today" show drama. Gifford talked about the ad she almost bought in USA Today. Gifford told Mark she collected over 200 signatures from Lauer's co-workers showing support for the "Today" show host. Lauer has been receiving a lot of criticism ever since Ann Curry left the show.
