Mike Bloomberg Qualifies For Democratic Debate In Nevada

Presidential Candidate Mike Bloomberg Holds Campaign Rally In Nashville

Mike Bloomberg's advertising blitz in Nevada has worked, and the former New York City mayor has qualified for Wednesday's (February 19) Democratic Debate. Bloomberg is polling at 19% nationally and met the DNC requirements of receiving at least ten percent support in four national polls.

The DNC changed the requirements for the debate, requiring candidates to have won at least one delegate in the first two states, earn at least ten percent in four national polls, or have at least 12% support in two polls in either South Carolina or Nevada.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders still leads the pack with 31% according to the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist survey. Bloomberg has spent more than $300 million of his own money on political ads and is polling in second place nationally, despite not being on the ballot in Iowa or New Hampshire.

"We're headed to Nevada! Our campaign is seeing a groundswell of support across the country, and qualifying for the February 19 debate is the latest sign that @MikeBloomberg's plan and ability to defeat Donald Trump is resonating with more and more Americans," Bloomberg's campaign manager, Kevin Sheekey, wrote on Twitter.
