Yesterday, President Trump unveiled his bold "Liberation Day" tariffs, slapping a 10 percent baseline on all imports and even steeper rates on countries like China, promising to bring back American jobs and stick it to nations ripping us off.

Earlier this week, Glenn weighed in, hoping that Trump’s bold plan could be what America needs to turn the corner. He said he trusts the president’s instincts to put America first and understands that to turn the country off the path of destruction, there will be pain. But Glenn expressed caution too, and worried that the tariffs could backfire and trigger a trade war or even a depression. Trump's bold moves are exactly what America needs if we are going to return to prosperity, but only time will tell if his gamble will pay off.
